Selling Junk

I went to an investment seminar last week that had a host of different companies trying to sell me their investment tools, property etc. I was bombarded by pamphlets and statistics showing how well they had done in the past and were very proud of the future.

Why has society come to this? People out there selling crap that they know is over inflated or completely bogus. I understand that everyone needs to feed their families but do we really need to blatantly lie to everyone we see to do this?

The sad thing is, there are many people who fall for this type of tactic over and over again. People lose their life savings to a guy who goes door to door selling the next “sure thing.”

Amazing.

people sell crap like this because they want to bait the suckers out there who will freely give away money for false hopes and dreams. It’s just like the guys who sell their “millionaire” book, they are millionaires because idiots buy the book and make the guy rich.

Society is getting lazy and no one wants to work for their money anymore

That’s a common complaint I hear about the workforce today. Businesses have no trouble getting people to show up, they just have problems making them work while they’re there. Of course, regardless of the amount of work they do, they still want a top salary paid at the end of each month!

They wouldn’t last long if it weren’t for the fact that a large number of people are professional shoppers. I’ve not seen any kind of money-making program that didn’t require at least some amount of work. Some work may be minimal; other work is not. But, what a lot of people are looking for isn’t minimal work, but no work at all. They want to buy a program, click a button and watch the money roll in.

Lots of people will buy different money-making programs; some are scams, some are legitimate. But most of those people will only skim over the materials, if they even read past chapter one (or the introduction), and then conclude it’s too much work, or it’s not something that will work for them, etc. They stick it in a drawer or on a shelf some place and never touch it again. Meanwhile, they are pulling out their credit cards to buy the next program, ’cause that’s the one that so-and-so recommends.

So, other people can get away with selling useless products because many of their buyers aren’t going to read it anyway!

It seems that even a person’s career is being put on auto-pilot a lot of the time. People expect to be paid for doing very little work and not growing their skills at all.
