  • The Great Depression Ahead?

Posted on June 2nd, 2009 Lewis 2 comments

I’ve spent a lot of time researching the economy and future trends. In that research, I stumbled upon a book by Harry S. Dent Jr. called “The Great Depression Ahead.” It’s a great read that goes through the many cycles (decentential business cycles, consumer spending cycles, innovation cycles) related to the current economy. Quick summary: we’re heading into a depression and real estate bust.

This video is an update to the forecasts in the book and it’s also a great information piece for people who haven’t (or won’t) read the book.

  • Exactly What Can Be Expensed in Business?

OK, so the title was a little misleading but I wanted to make sure everyone who is in, or has ever been in, Sales sees this video.

I was originally sent this by my brother and I quickly shared it with everyone I knew. Why it took so long to post up here I have no idea!

  • 8 Success Lessons in Less Than 4 Minutes

Posted on September 4th, 2007 Lewis 4 comments

I am just about to sit down and watch the video version of The Secret and I decided to take a quick break and find a couple of videos about success.

Here is the first one I found that was quick and clever. The presenter has hit some important points although I’m not sure if I fully believe the High School student story!

Just in case you missed it, the 8 things that lead to success are:

    • Passion
    • Work
    • Focus
    • Persist
    • Ideas
    • Good
    • Push
    • Serve

    Have a great night!

  • A Video About Forums, Blogging and Comments

Posted on August 26th, 2007 Lewis 4 comments

This video will make you laugh because it’s all true. Although most of the blogs I visit don’t have the rated humor, all the worthless comments and updates are covered very nicely. For those who haven’t seen it before, you can read my Top Ten Comments That Work In Any Situation. In the video, I especially like the guy who yells FIRST (you’ll see what I mean in a minute).

Please note: the language is a little strong in some points but if you’ve spent more than 15 minutes on the web you will have seen it all before!

  • Learning Business Through A Lemonade Stand

Posted on August 25th, 2007 Lewis No comments

I found this video while watching some great real estate guides online. I thought the concept and delivery was so funny, I had to post it here.

If you have ever run a lemonade stand you know that almost all sales equal pure profit. Without the normal start-up costs (lemons, sugar, ice, crayons, paper, table, chairs, plastic cups) success is almost guaranteed.

  • Apply Creative Thinking To Real Estate Investing

Posted on August 11th, 2007 Lewis 1 comment

Here is a quick video about applying creative thinking to a real estate opportunity. I like this video (definitely not for the quality) because it expands your thinking a little regardless of the industry you are in.

Once you know your business, you can dramatically increase your wealth by simply brainstorming for the numerous opportunities available to you. As this video points out, even $1 can make you $150,000 if you are creative enough.

I am still maintaining my commitment to the ideas I outlined previously in Take The Challenge And Create Success. I think this video fits right in.

    Enjoy…

I guess they couldn’t find the before picture!

  • Save The Planet…Go Black

Posted on August 9th, 2007 Lewis 1 comment

I thought this was a great website so I wanted to post some quick information for you.

Apparently, on your computer monitor, the white pixels use more energy than the black ones. To fend off this obvious affront to environmentalists everywhere, an ingenious web developer came up with a website called Blackle - Energy Saving Search. Basically, it uses the Google search engine but displays everything with a dark background. I also found another site called BlackWebSearch.com (which is basically the exact same thing) but I like the fact that Blackle took the current environmental trend and utilized it on their site.

People everywhere are currently working to disprove the dark pixel energy theory but until then, I suggest we all do our part and at least give one of them a try!

If you’re interested in environmental issues, have a look at this very interesting video on Energy around the world:

PS. I found out about Blackle at The Gospel According to Rhys
